Meeting King Chomper

You can teach anything to kids with the right story. The King Chomper was the first story I wrote that made 3-year-olds laugh and instantly understand why the king moves just one square at a time — he has a huge belly!

This story became the foundation of our award-winning board game, taught by tutors, used by parents at home, embraced by teachers in classrooms, and adapted into mobile apps. It’s helped over 250,000 children fall in love with chess through story-driven learning.

STORY TIME CHESS CASE STUDY

Story Time Chess began as a simple idea: could young children learn chess through stories instead of rules? What started in a preschool classroom grew into a nationally award-winning product, generating over $1.5 million in annual sales, winning multiple Toy of the Year Awards, and being named one of TIME Magazine’s Best Inventions of 2021.​​

MOBILE WEB APP DESIGN: ARE YOU SMARTER THAN MR. FLUFFBUTT? 

I created a dynamic, age-adaptive quiz show for kids ages 4–9—no logins, no friction, just fun. Are You Smarter Than Mr. Fluffbutt? uses story-based questions, personalized rewards, and gamified logic to make learning addictive. Every quiz is auto-generated, mobile-friendly, and modular—designed for repeat play and joyful learning.
